For more than three decades, Harold has helped the ladies and gentlemen of juries and judges understand how traumatic brain injuries (TBI) impact the daily life for these individuals, as well as their ability to sustain employability.
Using a “day-in-the-life” approach, Harold evaluates how TBIs affect self-care, home management, community access, and independence. He incorporates medical recommendations, consults with treating physicians when available, and accounts for the long-term convergence of disability with aging. When someone has a brain injury and may not fully grasp their deficits, he will conduct an interview with family members, or whoever knew them before and after the injury to get the complete picture. The resulting Life Care Plans anticipate evolving needs — from medical care and therapies to equipment and home assistance — and reflect the practical realities of living with a brain injury.
